The Pennsylvania Accountability System applies to all public schools and districts. As a result of the No Child Left Behind Act, every school year the state provides each district and school within the district a School Report Card.
The intention of the School Report Card is to keep the public informed of the all student’s achievement, attendance, and graduation rates (when applicable). The information is also disaggregated to demonstrate how specific student populations are closing the achievement gaps.
The information allows educators to make informed decisions. The information also opens the door of communication between home and school, which is essential for student success.
