Mr. Freil’s Book of the Month
Some of my fondest memories both in and out of school were those times when I got wrapped up inside a terrific story. In fact, I remember getting a book on the first day of school in 3rd grade and diving right in – to the point where after reading several pages, I paused to look around and noticed that everyone had his/her hand up -- but I had no idea why, or what I just missed!
I’m sure most of you have similar moments about being swept away in good books. And like me, I hope that you want to pass this same wonder of reading onto the our children. To that end, I will be doing a PRINCIPAL’S BOOK OF THE MONTH. The book selected will be chosen in connection to the monthly character education themes, and will be featured here on the website. As the year goes on, I hope to see this book list continue to grow, and that you continue to share the joy and magic found in reading great books.
