 CURRICULUM

Mt. Lebanon’s Art Curriculum complies with the Pennsylvania Standards for Arts and Humanities. These include:
9.1 Art Production
9.2 Art History
9.3 Art Criticism
9.4 Aesthetics
Students will experience a variety of methods each year, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and fiber arts. By the end of 5th grade, students will be familiar with the works of numerous artists.
 ART SCHEDULE
1st– 5th Grades receive 45 minutes of Art, one time each week.

 SUPPLIES NEEDED
*large plastic jugs
(similar to the kind from Sam’s Club that hold pretzels)
*bubble wrap
*old blender in working condition
*old coat racks
*large cottage cheese, small yogurt and margarine containers
 ART SHIRT
Please send your young artist to school with an Art shirt. Shorter sleeve ones are best!
