Students Plan Ahead and Hold School Supply Drive
For the third year in a row, high school students in Dr. Mike Gullo's class held an end-of-the-school-year school supply drive to benefit a local school. Students Audrey Goodrick, Maria Palombo, Alex Terasavage, and Christina Terasavage organized the effort and collected gently used school supplies from the class's locker clean out days.
Graduation: A Night to Remember
The 101st Commencement of Mt. Lebanon High School took place on June 11 in the High School Stadium. It was a beautiful night to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2015 as they move on to the next phase of their lives. Watch a slideshow of Graduation 2015.Graduation Slideshow
School Board Approves New High School Unit Principal
At the July 20, 2015 School Board meeting, the Mt. Lebanon School Board unanimously approved the appointment of Natasha K. Dirda as the new unit principal for Mt. Lebanon High School with a start date still to be determined.
Summer Hours for Buildings and District Departments
All Mt. Lebanon School Buildings are closed on Fridays through August 7, 2015. Offices are generally closed for lunch between 12:00-12:30 p.m. For more information about District summer business hours, please click the link above.

The end of the school year brings many opportunities for celebration and fun for students.It can also be a high risk time when the number of drug and alcohol related accidents often increase. Proposed Final Budget Discussed by School Board

Kindergarten Enrollment
It's that time of year when parents of kindergarten age children start thinking about enrollment for the next school year. If your child is five before September 8th or the first student day of school (whichever occurs later) they are eligible to enter kindergarten in August/September of that school year. The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania announced the winners of its inaugural high school student video contest “Get in the Game (Democracy is Not a Spectator Sport),” geared toward encouraging citizen participation in the democratic process. We are pleased to announce that the first place prize of $1000 was won by Alexis Galvis, a senior at Mt. Lebanon High School who created "Vote? Vote."

Academic Games Compete at Nationals with Great Success
On April 24-28, 22 students from grades 4-12 competed at the Academic Games Nationals Tournament in Orlando, FL. Students participated in games involving mathematics, set theory, propaganda, language, current events, presidential trivia, and the Revolutionary War. Mt. Lebanon players received several awards and distinctions at the nationals competition.

The Main Event
Last Friday after school it was a "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" moment in the high school main gym when the main event featured a wrestling match between Social Studies teacher Mr. Marc Allemang and Health and PE teacher Mr. Frank Cremonese. Students and staff took a moment to cheer on their favorites in a winner-take-all match that had everyone enjoying the moment and the school spirit.
